José Selgas and Lucía Cano (both born in 1965) have somehow made a tacit statement of individualism. They have clearly implied they are not interested in regarding their approach in terms of trends or generational issues. They have also referred to their wish to avoid any diversion from their focus on the task of designing and building (namely, staying away from any of those ‘parallel’ tasks architects may get involved in, keeping them away from their offices, either out of genuine commitment or ambition bound to an unnecessary and vain yearning for ubiquity and proliferation).
